And finally, on Thurday 6/21, MULBERRY CHILD is a documentary mixed with re-enactments, based on a book Jian Ping wrote to tell her daughter what it was like for her, her husband and their parents to grow up in China. Her parents lived through the ordeal of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, were deprived of jobs and honor, were sent to live and labor in the countryside in poverty. trailer
