MUSCLE SHOALS POSTERLocated on the banks of the Tennessee River, MUSCLE SHOALS, Alabama is the unlikely breeding ground for some of the most creative music in American history. “I’ll Take You There”, “Brown Sugar”, “When a Man Loves a Woman”, “Mustang Sally”, “Kodachrome”, and “Freebird” are just a few of the tens of thousands of tracks created there.

MUSCLE SHOALS RECORDSAt its heart is Rick Hall who founded FAME Studios. Overcoming crushing poverty and staggering tragedies, he brought black and white musicians together to create music that would last for generations. In this movie legendary artists including Aretha Franklin, Greg Allman, Bono, Clarence Carter, Jimmy Cliff, Mick Jagger, Etta James, Alicia Keys, Wilson Pickett, Keith Richards, Percy Sledge, Steve Winwood and others bear witness to the magnetism and mystery of Muscle Shoals and why it remains a global influence. © Magnolia Pictures trailer

short term 12SHORT TERM 12 is an emphatic, revealing drama that pulls audiences into the perspective of neglected youths. A 20-something supervising staff member of a foster care facility navigates the troubled waters of that world alongside her co-worker and longtime boyfriend. Director Destin Daniel Cretton expands his 2008 short of the same name into a feature film depicting the struggles of a compassionate young woman contending with some unexpected life developments while working as a supervisor at a home for at-risk teens. Grace (Brie Larson) has dedicated her life to helping kids who have slipped through the cracks of the system. Committed to her job and in love with kindhearted co-worker Mason (John Gallagher Jr.), she’s still struggling to make sense of her own troubled past when she learns that her life is about to change forever. trailer
